Trama

Set in the 1980s, after her husband’s accidental death, Zhou Fenglan discovers an 800,000 insurance payout. Hiding the fortune and pretending to be poor, she moves in with her three sons to test their hearts. The eldest son treats her coldly and disdainfully; the second is calculating and indecisive. Only her widowed third daughter-in-law cares for her sincerely. In the end, she leaves the money to the devoted woman, while the cold-hearted reap what they sow and repent.
