To protect her ancestral burial ground, Rachel signs a three-year contract marriage with Ethan, who only has eyes for his first love. She harbors a quiet crush on him for three years. When his ex Vera returns and torments her relentlessly, Ethan always sides with Vera—he slaps Rachel in public, lets Vera run her down with a car, and abandons her to ruin at his grandma’s birthday banquet. Pushed to the edge, Rachel teams up with his business rival armed with full evidence to strike back. The man gets twelve years in prison, the vicious woman suffers endless torment, Rachel reclaims her land, lets go of her unrequited love, and finally embraces a peaceful life.
