Online, Margaret, posing as Ms. M, and Ophelia, posing as Ms. A, are nine-year-old best friends. Neither knows the other's true identity, nor have they ever met. Their only recorded conversation is a birthday greeting Ophelia sent five years ago in a childlike voice.
