Synopsis

Office worker Zhu Yi and her best friend Song Song complain about a novel—only to wake up transported into its world. Zhu Yi becomes Lu Zhaoyi, a discarded wife fated to be hit and killed by the villain. Song Song transforms into Xie Song, the novel’s vicious mother-in-law. After recognizing each other, they hatch a plan: Lu Zhaoyi will divorce her husband Jiang Yan to save her life and seize money. Lu Zhaoyi deliberately acts out to provoke Jiang Yan, with Xie Song secretly assisting—yet unexpectedly, Jiang Yan falls for her. The ultimate villain Xie Qing manipulates Xie Hualian to scheme against the Jiang family and steal their wealth, but the two are ultimately imprisoned.
