When the Caged Bird Returns

Synopsis

Elena Garcia grew up in a toxic ghetto family, where she and her sister endured years of mistreatment, while their brother enjoyed every privilege and favor. Despite the hardship, she earned admission to Harvard, but was brutally forced to abandon her dreams. With her mother’s help, she escaped from the family, finished college, and built a business empire from scratch. When she learned her family would force her sister into marriage for money, she returned to save her mother and sister. This time, no longer the powerless girl she once was, she is determined to fight back.
