Synopsis

Daryl Lake, once a talented worker and singer, is disfigured and left limping after saving orphaned siblings from a fire. Just like that, he loses his bright future, yet he raises the children by collecting scraps. When he is offered marriage only if he sends one of the children away, misunderstandings lead to separation, and their fates only intertwine once more 20 years later.
