Desperate to rewind time, the shamaness Chu Li invokes the Chu Phoenix Call, only to be cut down by a single sword strike from Song Ziyuan, a man she has never met. The two are thrown forty-nine days into the past. Bound together against their will to save the people, they endure a series of eerie, fantastical events, and their fated love from lifetimes past slowly begins to resurface.
