Sinopsis

A fire broke out in the residential complex, trapping Li Xuanxuan—who was home alone—in the flames. Ye Xiaoxiao, a kind-hearted woman, called the fire department and tried to rescue the child. The firefighters arrived urgently, only to find the fire exit blocked by a car.Captain He Feng made a decisive call to crash into the car to clear the way. However, this was witnessed by Zhang Guifang, who had just returned from playing mahjong. She seized the opportunity to extort money, raising her demand from 5,000 yuan to 100,000 yuan. Her obstruction delayed the rescue, leading to an explosion inside the house. In the critical moment, firefighters entered with simple equipment to save the child, but a second explosion occurred—both the firefighters and Li Xuanxuan were seriously injured. When they were sent to the hospital, Zhang Guifang pretended to be ill and followed them there. She continued to block the treatment process, which eventually caused the child’s death. Only then did she realize, to her horror, that the child she had prevented from being rescued was her own grandson. Overwhelmed with remorse, she collapsed in agony.
