Synopsis

On a stormy night, Arthur—the second son of the Ross family, who had been mentally incapacitated for five years—miraculously regained his senses after being struck by lightning. He witnessed his fiancée, Vera, in the arms of his older brother, Adrian, and discovered that the horse-riding accident that had incapacitated him years ago was actually a plot orchestrated by the two of them. Biding his time, Arthur—with the help of his close friend George—secretly laid plans and gathered evidence to gradually reclaim the family power Adrian had usurped. At a carefully orchestrated banquet, Arthur publicly exposed their five-year affair and the truth behind the attempted murder; he formally broke off the engagement and called the police. Adrian was stripped of his inheritance and Vera's reputation was ruined, allowing Arthur to regain control of the Ross family and embark on a new life.
