Synopsis

In order to help villagers solve the problem of unfinished buildings, rural entrepreneur Chen Jichuan contacted his former business partner, Shen Zhaonan, the president of Zhaonan Group, and facilitated the acquisition at cost price plus compensation. However, village head Zhou Ruolin incited the villagers to question Chen Jichuan for profiting from it, which led to estrangement among the villagers, even abuse and the expulsion of Chen Jichuan and his mother. Shen Zhaonan came forward to clarify, revealing Chen Jichuan's identity as the founder of the group, but the villagers were insatiable and demanded higher compensation. Chen Jichuan, disheartened, refused the acquisition and instead signed a contract with Li Jiacun. Zhou Ruolin led villagers to cause a commotion at the Zhaonan Group, smashing property. Eventually, she was arrested by the police.
