Synopsis

High school girl Riley Brooks was mercilessly kicked out of her home after coming out as a lesbian to her devoutly religious mother. She had no choice but to move in with her father. Fortunately, her father’s blended family—including her gentle stepmother Nora, her fiercely protective stepbrother Nolan, and her sweet little sister Mia—welcomed her warmly and gave her a safe haven. After transferring to Northwood High School, Riley continued to pursue her passion for ice hockey and, thanks to her outstanding skills, successfully made the school's girls' hockey team. However, the team captain, Sloane Vance—the school’s coveted sports star and “queen bee”—just so happened to be the “old acquaintance” with whom she had shared an intensely private, almost-over-the-line intimate encounter at an off-campus party a few months earlier.
