Synopsis

After finishing the scripture pilgrimage, Sun Wukong is framed by Tathagata as the Six-Eared Macaque and nearly destroyed. Fleeing with a remnant soul to Lingtai Fangcun Mountain, he is reborn and taught supreme cultivation by Patriarch Bodhi.A century later, Wukong returns, slays the fake macaque who bullies his monkey kin. Furious, Tathagata gathers heavenly and Buddhist troops to conquer him. Wukong’s true heart wins over Yang Jian, Nezha, Zhenyuanzi and Guanyin, while Tang Sanzang and his disciples defect to his side.Wielding the Chaos Divine Bell, he fights the Three Buddhas. Pushed to the edge of death, he breaks all restraints, absorbs Buddhist powers, and finally kills Tathagata.
