Two princesses are born the same day in Jing’an Palace. Empress’s daughter Changxi is the predestined Phoenix Maiden, until Noble Consort Rou swaps her Phoenix-Blood Warm Jade, framing her as a jinx. Changxi and her mother spend eighteen years in the Cold Palace. She is then cast away to Shuomo for a marriage alliance. She grows to love Yuwen Yi, lord of Shuomo, and awakens her Phoenix heritage.
