The female lead Qiao Xinyue was driven out of the house by her husband Gu Jingchuan and his mistress Shen Weiwei. With a cold and heartless look, Gu Jingchuan held out the divorce agreement and told her to get lost. Dazed and devastated, Qiao Xinyue wandered the streets, only to be hit by Shen Weiwei—who had long been plotting to steal her property—while she was driving.
