Mercy Has Its Limits (English dubbed version)

Synopsis

Song Yuwei, a leading surgical expert in China, received an urgent mission to perform emergency treatment on Si Hongwei, a patient with ectopia cordis. She saved the patient's life with manual cardiac massage and took the initiative to advance medical expenses. She also contacted a charity fund to cover the one-million-yuan surgical fee. However, the members of the Si family were extremely picky during the patient's hospitalization. Despite Song Yuwei making concessions again and again, and even paying out of her own pocket to upgrade the patient to a VIP ward, the Si family became more and more overbearing. Eventually, a conflict broke out between Song Yuwei and the Si family because they fed the patient with "magic water" in violation of the pre-surgery regulations. In a fit of anger, Song Yuwei announced the cancellation of the surgery.
