The Engagement Turmoil (English dubbed version)

Synopsis

Fu Mingqian, the richest man in Shencheng, and his wife Gu Ning, who usually live abroad, returned to their home country to attend their son Fu Linzhou's engagement banquet. To avoid giving the impression of being ostentatious to their in-laws, they dressed simply and traveled low-key. However, in the hotel parking lot, they accidentally crashed into the car of their in-laws, Lin Yong and Song Xiangyu. The Lin family demanded exorbitant compensation, and when Fu Mingqian and his wife revealed their identities, they were insulted. Their daughter-in-law, Lin Xiaoxiao, who arrived later, also treated them differently based on their status and subjected Fu Mingqian and his wife to further humiliation and mistreatment. After seeing the true nature of their in-laws' family, Fu Mingqian and his wife decided to cancel the wedding.
