Synopsis
In 1932, Kansas was mired in the Great Depression and severe drought. Margaret was driven out by her son and daughter‑in‑law, forcing her to take shelter in a dilapidated shack with her two daughters. By chance, she traveled through time to 2026. She sold antiques for supplies and brought them back to her own era. She withstood numerous hardships and abuses, healed her daughter’s leg injury, helped local villagers survive famine and sickness, and foiled her son’s repeated schemes. Elected town mayor, she located water sources, popularized drought‑resistant farming techniques, won an agricultural award, and led the small town out of its plight.
